My first Matchbox for a swap...

We are having terrible weather today....in a Tornado warning....just got back from picking up all my boys early from school....watching the weather channel. Sorry...my pictures are not so great of my box...but hopefully you get the idea. The theme was *winged* my first thought was an angel but then I wanted to use my new prima butterfly. So I went ahead and used it with highlighting cream and peach...going toward a victorian feel to it.
I filled it with trinkets from antique ribbon and actually antique embroidery thread...some bling and extra goodies...
I sure hope my swap partner likes the box...as this is very new to me. I have only recently made the blue one for my mom. This has been sent a few days ago so hopefully she will have it soon.

Thank you for the Vintage Dragonfly blog for hosting this swap and letting me join in the fun.

Keep dry everyone that is having this terrible weather....

Proud mom~my oldest in newspaper...also a card for one of my neices

Here is my boy.....looking so cute! Gotta love his quote...from dad. Last sentence was for me...so sweet.
Here is a card that I made for one of my neices...I need two as they both are twins.

I love this sweet pea stamp....I will be making another card...of course different type.

Last nights game was so much fun with my youngest, Colten.

He was catcher for the first time and did excellent...caught so many of them.

I was totally impressed....Okay...proud mom!

Austen has a tail bone issue so he is off of sports for a couple of weeks.

Jaxten...is just doing the school thing for now.

Presten is officially finished with sports in high school.

Now for the prom coming up and all the senior stuff. Grad night at Disney...senior breakfast.

Hubby is great too.

Graduation card for Presten

I have been getting ready for my oldest graduation that is coming up fast...

Hard to believe how fast time flies...I just gave birth to him it seems...Atleast I am trying to stay young with that thought. haha...

I put honor's cord around his neck made out of antique embroidery thread... braided of course. Distressed the edges and stamped the sentiment on the inside.
I am pretty happy with the card. First time using my new Everday Paper dolls cartridge.

I used 3d foam on him. Gel pens, cuttlebug dots folder and chalk ink.

Hope you like...

Have a wonderful Tuesday all my blog friends!

Make sure that you have entered into my 250 followers giveaway.

Also...just a note that the April basket blog hop is coming soon...

I will have a little giveaway on that one too.

smiles...and blessings your way...

My vintage victorian necklace....

Here is my newest creation....I made all the flowers out of ribbon....added antique ribbon, pearls, and earrings....It was so much fun to making it. It is time consuming as it took me a few days to make. Lots of hand sewing too.... Such pretty colors together....I love that antique ribbon from Goodwill.

Also...My mom gave me some of her antique jewelry that didn't have pairs.

So I was able to add some pieces to this necklace.

Going to wear it to my Mom's tea party this weekend. It has been a rainy day here...Still pretty sick. Bad cold is not going away and still not hearing... Boys are doing great and we have been quite busy as usual. Thank goodness practice is canceled...probably the game tomorrow as well. The fields will be to wet. Have a wonderful rest of the week. I should have another creation by tomorrow. It was a great month of crafting.... Entering this into: http://linda-coastalcharm.blogspot.com/ also my month display at Tinker Planet

1st graduation creation....a money pot

Here is Presten's money pot for graduation that I made him.

What you do is tie money to each of the sticks....I wanted to showcase each of his sports that he played...with a senior and way to go staying.

Each was attached to yellow straws....cut all the images with my cricut.

Painted the pot black and added a cobra's die cut that I purchased at a craft show. I used his school colors red and gold(yellow).

Had some fun ribbons that I purchased at Hobby lobby...and tied those to each of the sticks as well.

Hope you like my project as I am just so happy with the end result. It is a great size too!

Sorry... not posting everyday...as it did get harder toward the end of the month with doing some larger time consuming projects and doing family things as well.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you so much for stopping by...

Those of you that do not know that I am having a 250 followers giveaway...please see the right sidebar to take you to the post.

Smiles....always, Tammy

Hymns flowers...come see

I was whipping up some flowers out of a great find....and old hymns book that I was fortunate to find at a local thrift store... You never know what you can find if you go browsing.
I inked the edges in different colors...so I can use them on future projects.
Finally~~ I broke down and purchased the everyday paper dolls cartridge for cricut...it's an oldie but a goodie. I sure wish times were better so I could get some new cartridges...though I am just blessed at what I do own... So look for some future projects with that one.
Also...so close to the giveaway...ready to ship it out as soon as I reach 250...hopefully sooner then later. haha... Thanks everyone for showing it on your blogs.

Tea party favor purses

Just helping my mom with some favors for her Tea party....she is doing the decorations and filling them....I kept them simple for her touch. I used my cricut machine for the teapot...A childs year...and Purse from Forever young cartridge. I also used my button punch from MS.
Some inking on the teapot and "Yum" sentiment...Used my punch for the tag.I have made 15 of them....and giving her my teacups and saucers to use.
It is going to be a fun time...

Have a super day! Hopefully I will be crafting some today....

Baby shower card....and note

My niece's baby shower is coming up next month....Hard to believe.
I so need a baby fix...
So here is my sweet fairy card...she is doing fairies with purple and yellow for the babies room.
So I went through my stamps and found this one...bad thing is I have a brain freeze as to where I got it. My bad... :( Entered into challenge with my fairy...over at http://flutterbywednesdays.blogspot.com/

Today was a nice day....all but this cold which I guess I am sounding way worse but me not hearing so well I had no idea. haha... I still went out with my mom. Found some sweet tops at Ross....and a few good finds at the thrift stores.
I have been working on making some simple goodie purses for my mom's tea party as favors.
Now....for my excitement to my day...
My oldest who is only 17 got his first speeding ticket...you don't want one of them in Florida because we are high priced tickets....so $254 for going 64 in a 45MPH zone...
I guess he needed to learn a lesson....God knows and took care of that...seeing me and his dad have been telling him to not be such a lead foot.
Live and Learn....
Have a sweet Thursday!
Game tonight.

My victorian vintage egg....

SO CLOSE WITH MY 250 FOLLOWERS GIVEAWAY....THANK YOU EVERYONE...RIGHT SIDEBAR TAKES YOU TO THE POST...PASS IT ON IF YOU WOULD LIKE.... The Altered Paper...is having a vintage egg challenge. So here is my take...
I started with a green plastic egg....and then grabbed some samples that I had of lace...started cutting that in squares...hmmmmm...I wondered how do I attach this...then I grabbed the modge podge...Yeppers it was a sticky mess... Dryed it of course...then inked it with Tim Holtz tea ink pad. Okay...it is looking alright. I have these wonderful hat pins from my mom that are antique...stuck it right in the egg with some lace that I inked as well and some pretty gold ribbon. I grabbed a flower crochet that my sister in law Kathy had made a while back...added some stickles and an antique button. I think it turned out okay...
Then last night I was in bed not feeling well...yepper the cold is getting worse instead of better. bummer... I used my antique clothespins and wrapped my thrifty ribbon around them and stuck in my pins I decorated. Looks pretty in the bowl with my egg and added a doily. Let me know what you think.
Going to get some rest now....Sorry if I haven't blogged as much lately...this cold is taking alot out of me....though I keep going like the energizer bunny rabbit.
Smiles...and blessings to you all.
Tammy

Blue skies and sun shining...we made sand castles and flew a kite. Had Greek bread...from Tarpon Springs...YUMMY!!!My blog friend Carri, Over at Doubleclick connections
inspired me to make some pins...So here a few that I worked on late last night.

Pretty happy with the turn out...I used Jewelry pins with grape tops...of course I had the beads as I make jewelry...
Notice one of them has a paper bead that I made. It turned out awesome that the flower showed when I rolled it...that never happens. So this way I can showcase that.

Okay...done rambling...Going to rest! So much sun and fun took the energy right out of me.

My pinch box....love my cricut! 250 follower giveaway too....

Just a quick post....today was a beautiful day with 3 of my 4 boys...as one went to the beach with his friends. We all went shopping....I mean I found some simply awesome deals today.
First was Target...wowzers they had awesome deals on some scrapbook stuff. So picked me up some papers, a punch, and stickers...Even thank you cards for Presten's graduation. Then I found the magazine I have been wanting since it came out. I actually follow the blog where it originated from called FLEA MARKET STYLE...it is the second one they have made. So tonight you know what I will be doing...curling up and reading it. Also, not only did I find it at Target I also got it for about half off the cover price...which is $9.99 it was like $4.54 or something like that. How cool was that?

So I have started working on this yesterday and finished it today for my project of the day...Enjoying my month long creating....
I cut a square box with my cricut. Used my scoreboard to make the pinches on the sides to give it a different look...then added a top to it...along with a bow and wild orchid flower...
The picture is from my Flower shop CD. I sure hope you like my creation...Going to put some goodies in it...I think a gift card would fit as well. So gave me some ideas. I am sure to make more of these in the future. Simple and cute!
Oh I forgot to mention we went on to more shopping and had a wonderful time...I even went into Goodwill by the area and found some antique ribbons...that are just the best! Brand new...woot... then as I was leaving that section I found a norditrac treadmill...brand new for $40 dollars they just told me that they just put it together...I am sooooo excited this is what I wanted for my anniversary/birthday/mothers day....and I found it...early and cheap! Don't forget brand new....I am over the moon with excitement. The boys found their goods too at their types of stores...so everyone was happy! Have a wonderful rest of the day...dinner time here.
Hugs...Tammy

My first matchbox makeover...

I had so much fun decorating an empty matchbox...I've always wanted to do it...but of course put it off. Hard to believe you can use so much on something so small and it look good. (atleast in my opinion it looks good). I also inked the box ends with blue chalk...
I filled it up with some antique ribbon...some beads, a couple of buckle pieces, pretty bead and a button...Can you guess what is on the button?

I hope you liked my little creation.
It has been a busy day....doctors appts...for the boys which had me kinda not to happy because they are the worst at keeping track at shots...Mind you when my youngest was five years old
they gave him double the shots (6 of them) because they had no clue he had them already. Worst thing was that I would have known that but at the time I was really sick and had to have my hubby take him in ...and well you know they don't know much so he had no clue.
I was not to happy about my little guy getting that many on mistake. This time they can't find the chicken pox vacine ones for my oldest....By golly by the time they were done with the physical they had found one of them and said the other was not given. Hmmmmmmm all my boys had both of theirs why would I forget to get his...I know in my heart he had them both.
Geez....how many appointments and physicals have I had...let me see physical every year he is sports...and many sports that is...and they just now find that at the age of 17...
I know find another doctor. haha... felt like venting.
I am tired...didn't sleep so well last night. My husbands computer has a virus so tired to work on it too late and now I just want to sleep....
Okay...I know you don't read many posts like this by me...but hey once in a while you just have one of those days. haha
hugs...Tammy

MY UNIQUE JARS....HAVING SOME FUN!

Here are a couple more jars that I have decorated for Christmas gifts....I am having
so much fun decorating these wonderful jars that I found at thrift stores.
The jars are older ones in excellent condtion...I loved this green glass jar.

Using ornaments as the main focus point. Papers and ribbons and flowers too!
The one below is just so much fun...The red glass jar looks like an old cookie jar in excellent condition.

I wanted to make it fun and playful looking...I loved this ornament I bought after christmas sale.

Added some unique finds...and some flakes too.

Don't forget the neat bow.
Planning on making more for Christmas gifts...I think I am getting addicted to them.
Each one is different...
