Birthday gift bags....

Here are two gift bags I made out of brown paper bags that you get at your local grocery store.
These are made for my twin nieces birthday that is coming up this month. They will be 13!shhhhh its a surprise...
Challenge over at
stamp challenges blog. Stitching

I used my cricut cartridges to create almost every embellishment on them. After some stickles for glitz and then some shiney stickers for eyes and last but not least I added some faux stitching with my white gel pen.

I cut the bag apart turned it inside out and pinking sheared the sides.
Sew.... Add brown rope for handles and tadda!

It is a beautiful day in sunny Florida today....Lovin it!!!!

Flower Pot Bag

I am in love with this.....On one of my sites that I follow a lady Donna made a watering can hang up. It was sooooo adorable...I figured I would put a twist on it with mine.
I kinda do that, ya know.
I made this out of a Publix brown shopping bag. I used my cricut to cut out the design. Stitched it with my sewing machine in order to make it work as a bag. I used Paper twist as the handle and embleshed it with flowers and these wonderful dew drops I just purchased. I used stickles for some of the outline of green paper. I figured what would go better inside the bag then seeds. This would look so cute on a wall as a decoration. The utensils are triple thick with designs on both sides. I stamped
a hang tag with "for you" and a design which I stickled below.

I hope my camera does it justice. I am so tickled about this project.
I hope you all like it...I am going to do more type of bags like these.
With different designs. It was soooooooo much fun to make.

I am entering it in challenge.

Sweet little card....

I made this sweet little card today....I colored her in with my copics...added a huge bow and flower brad...a little inking and faux stitching and stamp and she was good to go. I also stamped inside. I love this image by the lovely Inger from Simply Inger. Today was a house cleaning day....i so put on my list the new Belles n Whistles stamps...They fit me to a tee.... I am excited about Spring Break in a couple of weeks so the boys can pitch in and clean their rooms...(to mom's liking that is)... I know poor kiddios...But they haven't done it in like forever...
Tomorrow my Austen, who is on his math team (only 3 kids), is going to competition at a different school. So praying that he enjoys it...I am soooooooooooo proud of him!!!!!!
My Jaxten, has been writing a book....on his own! I am blown away at his writing....it is great! I will definatly find an editor and get this one published. To think he is only 11.
The little guy Colten is in 1st grade but goes to 2nd grade reading just went from a level 24 to level 30 which is extremly high! In only 4 weeks....Wowza! I have some smart boys....
I always brag on the oldest so I will just say he is doing great! Highlighting my others...

Vintage card

I made a wonderful ATC yesterday...Today at One Stitch At A Time they had a challenge for a Victorian card. So figured since it was victorian...i would incorperate it into a card.
Okay....personal note.
We had a very rainy day today here...hard to believe I was doing yardwork in the beautiful sun yesterday and today it gloomy...
Just got home from a quick run to Big Lots...
I was on a mission for something and well...they did not have what I was looking for.
So I went to the scrapbook area and had a blast. I bought
stamps.....lots of them....
It was pretty fun.
Hubby even found some stuff in his man spot...tools.
So it was fun...of course he needed his dunkin donuts coffee.
The boys are having a nice day...watching movies and
going out when it stops raining to run the Revo...
Austen's nitro R/C truck.

A New project.
It will probably be a slow one...As it is for me not for a gift.
I used real sand that I found at IKEA only $1.99 a bag. That was for the castle part. I used glitter for the rest...It turned out really neat looking in person with all the different textures.

Here are some updated photos of my boys...The one in the scrubs is my oldest Presten who is 16. He is in a program at his high school for EMT...How cool is that?

My two cuties on the right are Jaxten 11 and colten 7. They were watching t.v.

Here is my cutie...number 2 son...Austen is 14 and my camera did not have flash on. Like I said the battery is dying so I was lucky enough to get a photo of him. smiles....

Sand bucket project

I decided to really step out of the box and get into the *beautiful weather mood*...I am soooo in it...

Okay I made this bucket with Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge in mind...

This is my own design as I have never seen anyone else do this.

Supply list:
You need to have a $1 bucket from Walmart.
pair of disposable gloves
old newspaper to protect the surface you are painting on
Krylon Fusion paint for Plastic
Cricut cartridge Mickey Font
Disneys rubber stamps (Mickey Sentiments)
Ribbon
Directions: Go outdoors and spread the newspaper out on a table or bench. Where you have room and at a comfortable height for your young one.
Put the rubber gloves on your child
Place one hand on the bucket. (Lay bucket on its side for easy handling)
Take top off of paint and lightly spray it will come out in speckles instead of a filler.
Make sure to do all around that hand.
Then take hand off in a swift upward motion and let stand for 2 minutes to dry.
Flip over the bucket to the other side and repeat with opposite hand.
Once done you can make a tag like I have or one of your own. I used the cricut to cut out the Mickey mouse and used the Magical Memories rubber stamp on a circle I cut out. I attached the ribbon and this would lay straight down. I wanted you to see the design so I have it balanced upward.
These would be a great gift idea. You can also personalize this with black stickles glitter glue.
I have entered this into a craft magazine in hopes to get it published. I think it is a fun project to make with your children.
Let me know what you think of it...Thanks for browsing my blog and leaving me such *sweet* comments.....It does make my day! I look forward to it and it inspires me to try more things.

Have a blessed evening...See you soon!

Altered clipboard

First off....Top of the Mornin to you! Happy St. Patty's day.
I do have Irish in me so I am wearing my green as well as the kiddios.

I made this altered clipboard all day yesterday.
You need lots of time for this one.

With lots of inking,tearing,printing,taping, etc....
It came together really well. I even used my homemade paper bag flowers for this one.
I love the picture of Mona Lisa from grapic 45.
I am a Graphic 45 junkie. I have recently purchased mega paper of theirs. Yummy!!!!!!
I made a fold out with the key attached and it holds my post its! Now I have to print out the numbers and put them on the sheets...it will look so cute on an easel in my living room and then we will have the actual phone numbers at hand. Instead of always just programming them in our cell phones we can know what they are...Not just by name. I really like this idea....
Welp me and Colten are going to blow some stink off of us. I could not send my little booger boy to school again. I gotta get that under control for him...Going to corner store for some medicines. We have been hoping it would just take its course this time...the cold that is. Then we are going to pop over to Ross...Okay that is for me. Gotta see what they have.
A great friend of ours son had a motorcycle accident. He was in surgery yesterday for over 7 hours to repair his arm. Poor thing is just turning 18 here in a little bit. He is great friends with my son too. He thankfully, was fully geared so it saved him from road rash though both arms were broke. One very badly~ that is the one he was in surgery for. So sending lots of prayers his way and thanking God he is okay and survived. When you hear about motorcyle accidents the outcome is not usually good. So God had a hand on him...he hit the wrong brake and flipped. This is why I do not like motor cycles....Unfortunately my kids do own their dirtbikes and have had some crashes out here on the property. Only good thing is that the bike did not fall on them and they are on sand which makes for a softer landing. Still making me uncomfortable. My Austen loves to ride and Jaxten is just starting to love it as well. Yikes...Lots of prayers covering them when they ride. It is very scary.
Okay, so I rambled a bit. I hope everyone has a super great day! Thanks for all the votes on my cover...Hoping to win some yummy stuff from the stores on the hunt. Me and my sister-in-law Julie, would have a great time shopping again. (smiles).

I soooooo loved this picture of Colten and wanted to use it somehow...So I chose to do a layout. I worked around One Stitch At Time's challenge this week.

I used 2 papers one from Sassafras and a cut out from grapic 45 paper... 2 brads...and one ribbon. In my case I used the ribbon in the hot air balloon because it had cute words...

Hot Cocoa bag

Anyone for some Hot Cocoa? Entered in at Susie and Vikkis Christmas Challenge

So lets just say I am loving the bag idea that I started doing yesterday. So here is my newest one...
It is the hot cocoa type. I used alot of 3d foam to make things pop up. I cut most items with my cricut. I love stickles and used it on the whipped cream on the tags and the steam from the cups. I had fun embellishing it with my homemade flower. Hope you like it.
I am so having a wonderful day today...The weather is beautiful but I hear it going to
change once again...What happened to our wonderful sunny Florida.
Two my boys are having FCAT this week...soooo they are
going to bed at a decent time. I am loving the peace and quiet.
Though having them around me and chatting is always fun too.
I really appreciate all my new friends that I have made in blog world.
I love all the sweet and thoughtful comments.
Makes my day...daily.
Smiles...and blessings

ATC

I had such a "brief" fun time in my craft area today....On my trip, I learned how to do ATC cards...i always wondered what that stood for. So if you do not know it is.....Artist Trading Cards.

Welp~Tweety Jill has some wonderful papers and I purchased some and plan to add on to my collection in the near future (hopefully). So after doing a wonderful page with her. I decided to make some of my own.

I was tickled pink to see that my son's name (Austen) was on the photo with the little person. I inked all the backgrounds along with adding embleshments and some stamping too. Wow~ the ideas are endless with these ones. So at Ikea I bought this cool little gadget to have all these ATC hang from. I have a long way to go when I get more I will post a photo of it.

My camera's battery has gone from bad to very bad. So getting harder to photos at the drop of a dime.

Sorry the pictures are not the best but you get the idea.

Treasure Hunt 2010 Cover

This one is the new improved cover then the below ones....I like it better!
Scrapbook Treasure Hunt 2010
I entered this in a contest....Optimistically Pink over at
One Stop Craft Challenge Also entered it in a Girly one at Stampchallenges

Yo~Ho, Yo~Ho its a pirates life for me.....

Here is my album cover...which I am entering in for the Scrapbook Treasure Hunt.
I made this cover from goodie bags that I received along with stuff I bought during the hunt.
The black and clear over pink was the goodie bag itself from one of the stores...
The Red handmade eyepatch included a picture from another goodie I received along with the word "Pirate" on it in red.
Then I took the bag that had the words scrapbook treasure hunt on it and used that on the bottom left and inked it.
I bought some pink inks and used those all over. I also bought the tag in a discount bin at the hunt.
I used tweety Jill's image she gave me extra on the bottom left.
Well you get the picture....I was being creative. It had to be with treasure hunt items.
I added one outside piece and that was the image that I purchased over at Sassyland.
Let me know what ya think....It is girlie pink....my fave!!!!
