Sand bucket project

I decided to really step out of the box and get into the *beautiful weather mood*...I am soooo in it...

Okay I made this bucket with Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge in mind...

This is my own design as I have never seen anyone else do this.

Supply list:
You need to have a $1 bucket from Walmart.
pair of disposable gloves
old newspaper to protect the surface you are painting on
Krylon Fusion paint for Plastic
Cricut cartridge Mickey Font
Disneys rubber stamps (Mickey Sentiments)
Ribbon
Directions: Go outdoors and spread the newspaper out on a table or bench. Where you have room and at a comfortable height for your young one.
Put the rubber gloves on your child
Place one hand on the bucket. (Lay bucket on its side for easy handling)
Take top off of paint and lightly spray it will come out in speckles instead of a filler.
Make sure to do all around that hand.
Then take hand off in a swift upward motion and let stand for 2 minutes to dry.
Flip over the bucket to the other side and repeat with opposite hand.
Once done you can make a tag like I have or one of your own. I used the cricut to cut out the Mickey mouse and used the Magical Memories rubber stamp on a circle I cut out. I attached the ribbon and this would lay straight down. I wanted you to see the design so I have it balanced upward.
These would be a great gift idea. You can also personalize this with black stickles glitter glue.
I have entered this into a craft magazine in hopes to get it published. I think it is a fun project to make with your children.
Let me know what you think of it...Thanks for browsing my blog and leaving me such *sweet* comments.....It does make my day! I look forward to it and it inspires me to try more things.

Have a blessed evening...See you soon!

  1. What a fab idea! I will have to do this when I have kids.

If you go to the Belles n' Whistles store website that I have linking on my post you can find US stores that carry the Elisabeth Bell stamps.
