My little victorian project.

I decided to make some homemade hearts....so made them first.
Then I went ahead and made fabric centers for each of the hearts.

I love beads and flowers so added them.
I wasn't done so I attempted my very first ever YO-YO....oh my gosh...
I am in love with them. I made 8 but only needed 6 for this project.
I hot glued pretty pink roses to the centers and hot glued one to each of the shades.
I really like how it has turned out. Not to gwady...Just right!

I made this card with the help of my gypsy/cricut. Welded the vase to make a folding card. I used Magnolia Tilda colored in with MS pencils this time...Also the magnolia sunflower stamp was colored with my shiney gel pens. I was on a shine kick so used my stickles to glitter the top of the vase. It has Thank you stamped and embossed on it. Used sheer ribbon and 3d foams too. My very first side step card....

~ Wow~ I attempted something new again....
You have to bare with me as I have a headache today....It is so beautiful out...so I sat out there for a bit and my headache did not feel any better so came in.
Here is what I made.
I used an image from Digital Doodling...she is just to adorable. I wanted a bright and fun card so this fit the bill. I stamped it with a new stamp...Love the saying.
I added jewels...flowers...stickles...layering with 3d foam squares...Used my pinking shears.
Let me know what you think. I made her like a raincoat kinda gal.

The flowers are in bloom....

Yep...Another project by me....

I had so much fun with this one. From making my own flowers...the crochet ones my sister in law made and I put the burlap and button on them. The paper ones on the pen and each of the other items. I used the cute magnolia Tilda sitting on the Magnolia bench.

I used my cricut(gypsy) to add Bloom from one of my cartridges.
I used the gel pens to glitter up the word bloom as well.

I inked Peace and the background colors with Tim Holtz distressed ink.


This was a creative idea I came up while talking with a friend at Walmart. We were on the isle where they sold these and I just picked it up and thought hey why not chalkboard a section on it.
You can erase and put whatever you want on it.

I used painter tape to tape off the section.

Belle's & Whistles...broom and dustpan

Belle's & Whistles


I had to make a fun project this evening as it is pretty rainy here... So I used the most delightful image from Belle's & Whistles....They are one of my favorite stamps! She is vacuuming so it was fitting for the project. I purchased this darling set at Goodwill for a $1.06. Yep....great deal.


I colored her in with copics and gel pens. I used some dp of pink and black that looked sort of like tile for the background. I used flowers and ribbon. Inked up card stock, cut with pinking shears and added a stamp *Hello*. Used stickles to highlight the dots.

Victorian mom's card

So sorry there is a glare on the card. Here is a mom's day card that I actually made with some of my homemade flowers out of material scraps. I used pretty buttons as the buds and some pearls on the side. I inked alot of the card as I thought it was fitting for the look. I used a background paper from my Memories of Lifetime book. I just love them! With the big bow and the sentiment it gives off a wonderful victorian feel. So this lovely card is so me...I am having my boys address it to me from them. That way I can showcase it in my home it fits my living room area perfectly. http://simpledoodles.blogspot.com/2010/04/sd-16-not-spring-chick-anymore.html Anything old...In my case this is a vintage scene...made with old buttons.

Here is a sweet little image from Belle's & Whistles... I added one of my flowers from the aluminum can on this one... Made a pipe cleaner stem and flower pedals 3d. I love cute companions background image.

Okay....so here are a little tidbits about me:

I love God first....I have never been a hypocrite in my life...I believe honesty is the best policy.

My boys and husband come in as a close 1st. I am blessed to have each one of them. I would not chance a thing about them...I've learned the best thing on my own and that is to treat each of them as an individual....and to NEVER EVER pick a favorite. (learned that the hard way)

My in-laws are closer to me then my own family members.

I have a wonderful best friend....and so many great friends! That includes all of you that I have met in my blogging world. You brighten my days with your kind words....

I love to craft~ it is my peaceful place...I love that my family supports me in this venture. Thanks for welcoming me with open arms here. It is such a fun thing to be involved in. Hopefully it opens many more doors.

Tilda loves me not card....

This is a lovely background from cute companions cd. It went perfectly with this adorable Tilda. I popped out the watering can and flowers. I am really loving these magnolia images...

If I am slow to visit your blog. I am right handed and damaged my pointer finger in a fall yesterday. I have it wrapped it is still swollen, black and blue and crooked.

My card box....

Here is a little something I made.I used my cricut/gypsy to cut out the words, butterflies, and the top border.

Which I made 3d and added som stickles down the center of the butterfly.

I use this to hold my homemade cards.

I call these my stuff boxes...

I have many around the house.


I spray paint them first.

cut the images and glue....Love Scotch glue!

This is my morning creation.

Been working diligently to get this done to send in an email contest.

I used my homemade flowers...bling...stickles...sequins...bellishments

stickers...Cuddlebug die for heart then punched it out with a heart punch

I hope my coloring of her does her justice. She is the Tilda "right through my heart magnolia"

I sewed the bag together and filled it with some lovely flowers and plant seed packets for the added touch. I would so leave this outside if the weather would permit. Not here in FL.

I just wanted to post a little something...

I am excited to have been asked to become part of a design team over at One Stitch at a Time. I have loved doing the challenges over there and they had a member that needed to step down and they asked me to join. I am sooooooo thrilled about that and I start this Sunday. So you will see my posts and please join in on the fun.

Today was tuxedo shopping for my son's prom. I met up with him and his date. She seems really sweet and I think they will have a great time. His prom is not until May 8th but fastly approaching. I will have plenty of pictures...i already warned her. LOL

School layout

Here is my son's 1st grade class picture. I just received it on Friday and wanted to make it into a cool page for him to remember it by. I went along with Practical Scrappers sketch. I used Henry's Brilliance cut-ups by:Nikki Sivils I popped out the stars,apple and owl. Did some journaling which I never do..."hate my handwriting". LOL I used a couple of fancy zigzags to cover up the class names...don't want that all over the internet. Note: My son is top row far left.

Going Victorian my way...

I bought this wonderful little basket...Yep that is a basket...It moves up to hold stuff or as a stand. Now you would think I would use it that way....nope I like it half open like this.
I used some embellishments and grapic 45 papers and the rest you can see. Here it is in a mock frame look. Still looking for some yummies for the flowers on the corner.

Okay...In my post below I told you I was doing more with my layout. Welp this is what I came up with.

I added lots of bling extended the page with torn sides of paper. Added ribbon and bows and of course my homemade lace flower.
