Hello from a stranger...

Oh my goodness...it sure has been a long long long time since I have blogged.  I sure hope this finds everyone well.  Life...as we know it keeps us quite busy. 
I can't imagine what everyone has been creating...I am sure I am missing so much.  The inspiration from others is truly missed.  I'm in much need of some crafting time.  We are busy in the middle of summer here.  Presten is home from college but working with his dad this summer.  Austen has his own car now...he loves it.  Jaxten is almost 6 ft tall and just turned 14.  Oh my he is going to be a giant.  Colten is 9 now...what a super cutie he is.  He is still the 'baby"  not gonna change. 
I am still on the job hunt.  Harder than I thought it would be.  I have recently joined a kickboxing class.  Oh my it sure does kick my butt.  The Lord has been good to all of us here...my family and friends are all healthy and doing good. 
This week I am planning on making some cards...my stash goes quickly.  I have been bad because I have made about a dozen since my break on blog-land.  Rude of me not to post I am sure.  Sorry :(
I am going to try and take some time out this week from major cleaning projects and look at my blog friends blogs and see your past creations.  Sure do miss all of you.  :)
We have been boating lately...it is so beautiful on the Gulf of Mexico.  The kids are enjoying the fishing.  July 4th here was so beautiful seeing the fireworks up and down the coast from the water.

Elf re-do

My updated Elf.  I changed his face from the below post.  I have decided he is finished.  Hard to believe all the time I have put into this Elf. I am pleased with the results.  Hard to believe he started from newspaper.  It was definately hard to figure out how make him and finish him off so that he would stay.  He is heavy from all the numerous products I have tried.  I wish I could say that I know what would work best to make another one.  But, sadly I do not.  Kinda bummed.  Or I would like a do over.

 None the less, he will look cute indoors for many years to come. 
Have a wonderful rest of the week.  We are in spring break week here.  Looking forward to keeping busy.  I have an interview for another school job on Monday.  I feel good about this one.  Hopefully all of prayers it will pan out for me to get back into the work force.

We are going to enjoy having the boys off school for spring break this week.  Still trying for a job in the school system...wow this is hard to get a foot in the door.  Just keep praying and trying is all I can do.

My Easter cards for this year.

My Easter cards for this year.  They were made from a wood stamp I given by my aunt.  I used stickles on the flowers...inking,copics and 3d for the Happy Easter.  I made the Christian verse inside too.  May you have a blessed Easter.

My newspaper elf attempt...

Here is my newest creation....mind you I am still working on it as it is not sealed yet.  This sure has taken me alot of time and over a month into it.  It is my elf made from newspapers.  Yes, you heard me correctly.  I made a base out of some wood and dowels and then formed my elf with newspaper.  I wanted to make a lot of elves but let me tell you it is too hard. I tried paper mache which I my own...mod podge made that too.  Then I finally used joint sealer.  Then after that on the face I made salt dough.  Let's just say I tried everything.  The wetness dropped his face downward ( my complaint.)  He is cuter then his alien start. haha...

Still looking for a job...nothing yet in the school system. I prayed for the perfect opening and well it was taken.  Oh well...something better will come along~I hope anyways.

Candle project

Happy Valentine's Day!

I wanted to try something I found on Pinterest.  They used regular ice cube trays.  I figured I would be different and use a Heart silicone tray.  It worked perfectly.

Little tip once the wax is melted use a plastic spoon to put into the tray.  Learned by a mishap of pouring it and it made a mess..mess...mess.  LOL...

Great to make these with Yankee candles or others that have been melted down so you don't waste them. 

You put these in your tart warmers and they produce the scents you love.

My new craft table

If you seen the room before...you wouldn't believe it.  This is a room addition that I took over.  As you can see by the carpet the boys had some good times in there. (Pastel chalk on the carpet) 
I've got to look for some runner as it will not come up at all.  I've tried a bunch of things that were on Pinterest and they did not work on the chalk.  Great for spots though.
I was so excited to find a great deal at Ikea for the table tops.  They had them new in box at Ikea for $18 in the clearence section and I thought too good to be true as the regular ones on the floor were $70 a piece.  Well when I opened the sealed boxes  they had dings on the corners of one side.  Not a major problem...I could deal with that with all that I saved it was worth it.  So I used 3 of them...6 shelving units like the two you see.  Great for storage...I made my chair cover look cute and had to extend it seeing my chair was a bit bigger.  Added some pink bows too.  It is my girlie room. 
I am not done with the room as I am trying to figure out a cover for the air conditioner when it is not in use.  Thinking a frame with fabric.  We will see.

Victorian ATC

I had fun making this ATC (artist trading card).  It has stickles,glitter spray,cut the heart from ribbon...also look at the neat film role...I used Tweety Jill's images from the backs of her packs to fill the strip.  Hope you like my victorian take on my ATC.

Owl-be

Here is my cute little owl pillow boxes...so simple to make.  They are so cute~I call them my little friends.  I also made a cute owl out of my sister in laws owl punch.

Cupcake wrapper Wreath

Happy Valentine's day Wreath.

Easy to make...just used a wicker wreath from the Dollar store.  Purchased two packages of cupcake liners from there as well.  Bow was made from my stash along with the ribbon hanger.

Hot glue and that is all...

Handmade Scarf

Happy New Year, everyone!

I've been busy browsing Pinterest lately and wow..I have found so many ideas on there so I don't have to use my own imagination I can use others. haha...Gotta love that.  I made this scarf today out of my own homemade knitter.  It was so easy to use...I just loved it!  I hope to learn more types of stitches.  Most would use wool but I am allergic to it so I settle for the other ones.  This was with some baby yarn I already had laying around.  (Bernat)    I should be creating more just not as much as I used to as I have been doing a huge house revamp...cleaning drawers, painting and well you name it.  Busy here.  My health is not back to normal but still praying.  Miss you all as I have not been blog hopping like I used to.  Doesn't mean I have forgotten you it just means time is scarce. :(

Happy New Year (early)

Just stopping by to wish you and yours a very Happy New Year!!!  May it bring joy and happiness and good health to each one of you.

Above is a mixer set I put together for a few loved ones.  I made "buckeyes" for these.  They were mighty yummy and disappeared quickly from our house.  I also baked lots more goodies for family and friends. 

My boys are growing up so fast.  It looks like the grinch shrunk with all of them.  Love having them home for the holidays.  I am surely blessed!!!
After some more cleaning projects I should be back to creating along with my job hunt.  See you in the new year.

 Here is a little craft I did for a few people...It was fun to make with my boys.  Just used some pipe cleaners, holly balls, wiggle eyes,ribbons and bells.  They turned out pretty cute

Wow~this new post on a blog is quite different.  Still learning what to do with it. LOL I made some digital pages and framed them.  This is what happens when you are sick in bed you have to do something so I played with my adorable set I purchased at Nitwit. 

This one is for my neices little girl...she can just insert her picture and have a keepsake.

Oh it feels like Christmas

I love decorating for Christmas...thank goodness I started early this year. Or I wouldn't have this all up.

I'm not happy being sick for the holidays. It has been a rough past 6 months for me.

I love collecting...as you can see by my snowman collection from Hallmark. My Annalee collection. I have a huge Boyds bear collection too.

May your December be awesome for you all....Miss ya. Looking forward to seeing your creations. I have made a couple of things but need frames before I can post.

Snowman cards...Austen homecoming

Okay...I sure do miss blog land. If I only had the time to browse around I would do so. Here are some of my Magnolia snowman cards. I used puff paint, stickles glitter, copics, and My Minds Eye cards, and for these.

Now I wanted to share a picture of Austen and his girlfriend on homecoming dance night.

Below is Austen...he was in the 10th grade homecoming court. He looks so handsome!

I'm famous for making the corsage and boutonniere...this way they last longer. Though my son lost his during the dance. Oh well, he had a great time.

Christmas cards...

Hi my blogging friends....Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday. I am planning on coloring some today...Our football game was rained out yesterday (but we barely had rain) go figure. So it is probably going to be tonight as the make up day. Hope sooooo!!! I've been coloring this past week...and using my stickles glitter to make things shine. I wanted to make mailable cards for Christmas. So these are just a few of them so far. This image is a Belle's and Whistles stamp. I love theirs big time... own a few. Also, I used used My Minds Eye cards.. Stamped on them...and used my spellbinders nestibilities~love them. Hope you like...

Here is a black and white of me(first time doing black and white)...My nose was burnt and looked like rudolph. haha...
