Happy Valentine's Day!

I wanted to try something I found on Pinterest. They used regular ice cube trays. I figured I would be different and use a Heart silicone tray. It worked perfectly.

Little tip once the wax is melted use a plastic spoon to put into the tray. Learned by a mishap of pouring it and it made a mess..mess...mess. LOL...

Great to make these with Yankee candles or others that have been melted down so you don't waste them.

You put these in your tart warmers and they produce the scents you love.

My new craft table

If you seen the room before...you wouldn't believe it. This is a room addition that I took over. As you can see by the carpet the boys had some good times in there. (Pastel chalk on the carpet)
I've got to look for some runner as it will not come up at all. I've tried a bunch of things that were on Pinterest and they did not work on the chalk. Great for spots though.
I was so excited to find a great deal at Ikea for the table tops. They had them new in box at Ikea for $18 in the clearence section and I thought too good to be true as the regular ones on the floor were $70 a piece. Well when I opened the sealed boxes they had dings on the corners of one side. Not a major problem...I could deal with that with all that I saved it was worth it. So I used 3 of them...6 shelving units like the two you see. Great for storage...I made my chair cover look cute and had to extend it seeing my chair was a bit bigger. Added some pink bows too. It is my girlie room.
I am not done with the room as I am trying to figure out a cover for the air conditioner when it is not in use. Thinking a frame with fabric. We will see.

Victorian ATC

I had fun making this ATC (artist trading card). It has stickles,glitter spray,cut the heart from ribbon...also look at the neat film role...I used Tweety Jill's images from the backs of her packs to fill the strip. Hope you like my victorian take on my ATC.

Happy Valentine's day Wreath.

Easy to make...just used a wicker wreath from the Dollar store. Purchased two packages of cupcake liners from there as well. Bow was made from my stash along with the ribbon hanger.

Hot glue and that is all...

Handmade Scarf

Happy New Year, everyone!

I've been busy browsing Pinterest lately and wow..I have found so many ideas on there so I don't have to use my own imagination I can use others. haha...Gotta love that. I made this scarf today out of my own homemade knitter. It was so easy to use...I just loved it! I hope to learn more types of stitches. Most would use wool but I am allergic to it so I settle for the other ones. This was with some baby yarn I already had laying around. (Bernat) I should be creating more just not as much as I used to as I have been doing a huge house revamp...cleaning drawers, painting and well you name it. Busy here. My health is not back to normal but still praying. Miss you all as I have not been blog hopping like I used to. Doesn't mean I have forgotten you it just means time is scarce. :(

Just stopping by to wish you and yours a very Happy New Year!!! May it bring joy and happiness and good health to each one of you.

Above is a mixer set I put together for a few loved ones. I made "buckeyes" for these. They were mighty yummy and disappeared quickly from our house. I also baked lots more goodies for family and friends.

My boys are growing up so fast. It looks like the grinch shrunk with all of them. Love having them home for the holidays. I am surely blessed!!!
After some more cleaning projects I should be back to creating along with my job hunt. See you in the new year.

Here is a little craft I did for a few people...It was fun to make with my boys. Just used some pipe cleaners, holly balls, wiggle eyes,ribbons and bells. They turned out pretty cute

I love decorating for Christmas...thank goodness I started early this year. Or I wouldn't have this all up.

I'm not happy being sick for the holidays. It has been a rough past 6 months for me.

I love collecting...as you can see by my snowman collection from Hallmark. My Annalee collection. I have a huge Boyds bear collection too.

May your December be awesome for you all....Miss ya. Looking forward to seeing your creations. I have made a couple of things but need frames before I can post.

Okay...I sure do miss blog land. If I only had the time to browse around I would do so. Here are some of my Magnolia snowman cards. I used puff paint, stickles glitter, copics, and My Minds Eye cards, and for these.

Now I wanted to share a picture of Austen and his girlfriend on homecoming dance night.

Below is Austen...he was in the 10th grade homecoming court. He looks so handsome!

I'm famous for making the corsage and boutonniere...this way they last longer. Though my son lost his during the dance. Oh well, he had a great time.

Hi my blogging friends....Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday. I am planning on coloring some today...Our football game was rained out yesterday (but we barely had rain) go figure. So it is probably going to be tonight as the make up day. Hope sooooo!!! I've been coloring this past week...and using my stickles glitter to make things shine. I wanted to make mailable cards for Christmas. So these are just a few of them so far. This image is a Belle's and Whistles stamp. I love theirs big time... own a few. Also, I used used My Minds Eye cards.. Stamped on them...and used my spellbinders nestibilities~love them. Hope you like...

Here is a black and white of me(first time doing black and white)...My nose was burnt and looked like rudolph. haha...

Halloween goodie bags...Christmas tags

Just some simple crafts that I whipped up today and the other day...I have been a bad blogger through and through. I miss seeing everyone's blog but unfortunately my computer has become my son's. Austen is in college and for some reason his disk drive broke and he had to input a certain disc and choice my computer to operate off of. So I have no computer since school began. I miss it badly and would love to treat myself to one...especially with an eye in it so I can skype my son in college....plus my sister in Sweden. Any hoo...I wanted to show you my treat bags that I made up for my boys...yes the other one gets one with out the decorations. He as to be cool in college. LOL Entered into http://decoratetocelebrate.blogspot.com/2011/10/challenge-11-halloween-party.html They were simple to make...gallon zip locks...Publix BOGO candy...and done...I am not a BIG fan of Halloween so I do this for the kids but I do take out my youngest so he can trick and treat.
By the way my sweet friend Rhonda sent me the most adorable card in the mail today..It sure did bring a smile to my face. She is such a talented blogging friend...one of my closest. Check out her blog...here.
Also, I made just a couple of tags...Used my pearl stickles and my glitter stickles along with my cricut cartridges (christmas ones). They turned out pretty cute.

First Christmas card of the season

Okay...I am trying really hard to get into the spirit of Christmas but well...I am not doing so good at it. Austen just turned 16 and passed his drivers test on the 27th. Then Presten turns 18 in October so I have to get through that first before I can think of Christmas. Then after them I think I will be able to get into the swing of things. I am at a loss for the boys this year... I have a couple of ideas but not much. I've been having alot of fun lately with my walking...getting in shape. The two are in sports right now so that is alot of fun to watch them play and swim.
Okay...enough on that...Here is my Christmas card. First one of the season....I loved the papers by K & Company...Then used a snowflake button and stickled Pink on it. Looks really pretty.

Cork trivet

Here is a trivet that I made from a bag of cork screws I had laying around. My mom had found a few cool ideas in a magazine and gave them to me. I decided to try the trivet. The only problem is they did not say what type of glue to use. I tried one type first and it well didn't work. Then I got out the glue gun...Works great but looks messy. Any ideas???? I want to try and perfect these as it would make great Christmas gifts.

Today was a good day...started off with a good walk...then it was Austen's birthday...the big "16". I can't believe how fast time goes by... Tomorrow he goes for his license~look out. haha I wanted to play with some stamps that I have owned for some time now. I just went with the flow and well this is the card I came up with. I used my Travel paper for the background.

Christmas spirit...

I have been playing the past two days working on some cool papers from K & Company. (Yuletide) Being festive...sorta! I still have two more boys birthdays before I start Christmas. I'm at a loss as they are getting so much older and have all the electronics they need. Haha... I am sure most of you relate to that. School has been going good for all of them. Austen joined the swim team...Jaxten is playing school football...Colten joined Chorus and was chosen for Student counsil. Austen is also doing his college courses and aceing them so far. So all is great. Presten is loving UF and being a Gator. I still am bad no new update on me besides I am getting myself back into shape. I need to make my next appointment and put that on a major hold....bad me!

Banner birthday card

I had fun making this card...First I started off with making the banner from my cricut. I love the little button brads. I found this cute teddy bear image...I am sure one of my great blogging friends sent it to me(Dora?). So thank you to whom that may have been. :) Also, I was able to use my "wish" ticket from Carri. It was pretty fun to make.

So this weekend is my little Guy Colten's birthday...the big "9" years old. So getting ready for that. Then eight days later is my son Austen's birthday...The big "16"...a new driver in the house. Busy as usual....

Oh Mickey Mouse...holds a treat!

Hello all my blogger friends...it has been a while since I have created. Yesterday I finally took some time out and made a treat box.

This is my own creation of the box made on my gypsy. It is always fun to play with shapes to create something versatile.Colten's teacher is a Mickey mouse addict. Like I am with my Minnie mouse.

I used my MS punch and made the Mickey and the name (ears) from my cricut Mickey cartridge. I kept this simple. So this is for Christmas...filling it with baking goodies. Just a quick note...sorry I have not been around much and probably not to your blogs that often. Life has taken a little detour for me. I found out today after having lots of discomfort. That my left kidney has stopped working. I will be making my appointment with a specialist tomorrow. So~ when things get better I will be back.
Presten leaves for college on Thursday and the boys have registration days for school tomorrow and the next day. Alot of things are going on and well now I have to take care of me.

OSAAT "Sunni" card

I've made this card for a challenge over at OSAAT this week. The Digi is from Beary Dust "Sunni". You can find many great digi images in Stitchy's shop. Image was cut from white cardstock 5x2 1/2". Inked edges with Colorbox Banana custard.
My DP is Abbey Road Whirly bird "blossom" floating flowers. My card measures 6x5 inches.
I then used a piece of the DP other side (dots) and cut an half inch slot everyone one inch and then weaved Pink ribbon through. I also made a bow out of the pink ribbon from Dashes,Dots and checks.
I used light coloring on the image from my colored pencils. The tag is made from my EK punch and inked with Dew Drops Pearl Orchid and stamped with a stamp from Michaels dollar bin.
Then I applyed 3d square to the tag.

My Hubbys birthday card

I find male cards to be one of the hardest to make. When I bought the G45 paper I was so excited because it is for males.

So with that being said I did some cutting and used my MS punch and other punches and had a good time making this card for my hubby's birthday in the month of August.

It is small but could hold some candy or money. Great gift idea for a "male". I used TH paper and made a stamp. Pretty simple and neat looking if you ask me.

Butterfly card

Hello...I made this card a few days ago. I finally used my new Tim Holtz die butterfly. Okay so I made a little mishap and did not switch one of the wing sides by doing it upside down.oops... So I decided not to throw it away and turn it into a sideways butterfly. It turned out pretty cute though. I added a tag and some ribbon from my sweet friend Cindy over at Whimsical Musings.

Okay...so I made this card for my mom "thank you" one. I needed an envelope so I decided to throw one together and it was quite simple and easy and looked cute too. Just wanted to share that.

Have a great weekend! Is summer over yet? I am usually the first one who loves to have my kids home for the summer. Now~this is a first time I am ready for school to start (shhhhh its a secret.) I thought it would be easier as they get older...I guess I was wrong. Getting Presten ready to go to UF and cleaning up all the boys rooms and moving beds around. Tomorrow I hope to go to JCPenney as I found a great coupon online. $10 off $25 or more today and tomorrow only. So I printed off 3 of them and plan to get the boys some shorts for back to school or socks.

I went up to Joann's today to see the magazine in the store and well took a few pictures to share with you all. I am still waiting for my copies to be sent to me. So neat to see it was a two page layout. These are my frames that I made. So neat seeing it in the Cricut magazine...August issue 2011. These were taken with my cell phone...I did the best I could.

I am simply thrilled to be in a magazine...My first time in print. Woot!Hoo!

My little guy's creation with a little help from mom.

So this is what my little guy Colten (8 years old) came up with...I had to assist him a little bit.

He gets so happy when I post his creations on my blog...though it has been awhile, I had to make that happen for him once again. So please if you have time for a comment please drop him a line. He would be so happy to read them. He was so cute he took his adorable paper and inked the white side edges which is the background paper. So cute...then he found my paper that I stamped before and decorated with stickles and paint. He liked it and wanted to use it...he thought it was made that way...how cute, huh? So he brought me my pinking shears and asked me to do the edges. How could I refuse that cuties face. He then picked out the picture he wanted to use and the flower even the ribbon.

Still a slow blogger

I made this card as a versatile one....meaning a thank you, birthday, hello etc.... The other night I wanted to color in a stamp from my Crafters companion Fairy set. I used my distresser and inked the edges of the ovals. Added a hanging butterfly on some wire. Summer has been so much action this year. I went away with the hubby for a job overnight in Jacksonville (kinda like a date) it was so nice. We rode over to Daytona beach and it was so beautiful. Then this past weekend we went out on the boat and did some scalloping and knee boarding. Austen really mastered it. The boys had a blast diving for scallops it was so much fun to watch and swim in the middle of the ocean...Thank goodness no shark sightings... We did finally see four dolphins on the way back in. We did not get home until 11pm. Let me tell you I am not as young as I used to be....I am worn out more today then yesterday. haha...
Welp....going to enjoy some downtime tonight. I have a huge project for tomorrow~the dreaded closet.
Hope everyone is making some great memories...I know we are. It is a month until my oldest is off to college. Wow~time is flying!
Also, I will be having a 10th, 8th and 3rd grader. Wowzers....

Church time....

Here is my die cut church from my cricut...winter woodlands cartridge. It was so fun to make. I used some decorative paper for the stained class...stickles around the windows. Rhinestones for the door handles. Now I think I am going to have to make other buildings to make a village. Pretty fun indeed. I hope you like my take on it.

My absence...a christmas flip book

I am soooooooooooo very sorry for my absence. Life is just busy as it can be. I finally was able to make a chipboard flip book. It took me a few days which is very unusual for me~I am usually faster than that. I am hoping today I will be able to dabble into crafts. I have to do something fun. Yesterday, was 8 hours of non-stop cleaning...then ended it with cleaning out the pool and jumping in. It felt wonderful...I was pretty sore. It is rough getting older. Laughing.... I used lots of scrapbooking elements,embellishments,stamping,buttons,brads and so on.

Cutting the paper and filing is the timely part. I am pretty pleased with the end results.

Trying to get a head start on some christmas gifts. Handmade ones are the best. In my opinion.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week. I am off to have some "play time". I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far. I know we have...though the vacation fell through. It is part of life and I am fine with that. Looking for Jansport backpacks for a reasonable price...so if you see them anywhere let me know. I am still couponing but not as big as when I started. I have a pretty good stockpile without over doing it.

A card and quick word

First my card...I wanted to start making some "thank you" cards. I have been falling behind on them lately. Sure hope you like this one. I pieced a stamp (4 different papers) Added some stickles to her wings. She looks mighty pretty. Used my MS butterfly punch added some ink. THen used my Fiskars punches for the one with the sentiments added. Added some gel pen dots and ribbon. Used MY Minds Eye card base and added some papers to the corner for the design. Hope you like. My note:
Transformers 3 in 3d was just awesome. I am with my boys on this that all three of them have been wonderful. Can't pick a favorite as they were just fabulously made. Kinda like Star wars first 3.
We did see Cars 2 the other weekend and it was not as good as number one. Actually I was kinda disappointed in it. Bummer...
We had a good steak dinner out tonight. Now time for home!

Some quick cards....

Last night I decided to create....I had no idea at all what to create.So I began to look into my baskets to hopefully inspire me where to start.It has been awhile since I had nothing in mind.Easy when you need to whip up a card but this I had no idea.Then I came across this card kit that I had won a while back.So I figured hey why not go for that as it was kinda going to be a bit easy.Now I did put a twist on a couple of them but other then that I just did what they said to do. Everything was in each baggie for the card and a picture.So here are my simple cards that turned out so cute.

Love that they are for every occasion.

My hubby and oldest are off to Orlando for a few days for work.

So I am holding down the fort with the other three boys.

Enjoying quiet time now.

Which is very rare with these boys but they are either

playing games or skyping friends right now.

Tomorrow I plan on taking them to see Transformers then out to eat.

They should enjoy that. I know I will!

Here is a cute little metal (old) compartment that my mom asked me to decorate. It was not as easy as you would think to do. So I did some inking to change the white paint and did some crackle paint as well in the center. I distressed the edges of the paper that I used to decorate it.

I added a butterfly with glitter trail...added a flower to the other side. Paper was beautiful as is. Inside...added some ink and paper. Looks better in person.

Stopping in with a "hello"

Unbelievable how busy life has been getting....so sorry for my absence lately. My niece had her baby yesterday...a little girl named Avaleigh she weighed 7lbs 1.5oz and 19 3/4 inches long. A full head of dark hair like her daddy. So happy to be a Great Aunt for the first time.

We now have a boat again...we went out on it all weekend...even after church on Sunday. It was wonderful. The blue skies and blue waters make it wonderful and peaceful. Then we swam and looked at crabs and star fish. It is amazing God's creations when you take time to enjoy them.

I just got in from grocery shopping...my leg has been acting up. They never found out why I hold water on only one side of the body but when it acts up it sure does feel uncomfortable.
So that is why I am writing this post. Taking a break!

The boys are doing great! Keeping mighty busy or just enjoying the down time.

I bought a new book mainly for my oldest son but I too wanted to read it. So I started two days ago...yesterday I was at the hospital seeing the baby most of the day so I had no time for reading. So back to what the book is...well Tim Tebow's new book~through my eyes.
Let me tell you I am at page 86 and it is fabulous...I see where all my boys would benefit from reading the book. I would highly recommend this book!!!! A terrific read. Go figure it is one of my Florida Gators favorites writing it.

Okay....I hope all is well with each of you. Hope to see you in awhile....not yet. We are off to Gainesville on Monday and Tuesday for preview with Presten. Then we are leaving the following weekend for a vacation. Not sure of the plans for that. Just a getaway..unprepared too. haha....

Card~birthday

Here is a birthday card that I made yesterday. I had a few moments and wanted to try out a MS punch that I have had a while and never used. (Butterflies)
I made it a three fold card....Used images from a sheet of paper and cut with my pinking shears and inked. Added some ribbon and some flower tape.

Tomorrow is closet cleaning day with the boys....much needed! Trying to get things accomplished while they have friend time. Though tomorrow they have to help me out with their belongings.

Starting planning our vacation...much needed getaway. Looking like Tennessee again...we love it there.

Birthday goodie,some deals and a card...

Hard to believe the big ummmmm 4 something today! My fella's have treated me so sweetly today. I am feeling pretty spoiled. A new pots and pans set...purse & wallet and well some clothes and of course all those extra goodies that my parents bought me. I love everything and so appreciate the kind and thoughtfulness that surrounds me. A quick card that I made from my Crafters companion. It is so sweet...trying to get my cards made for the month of June. I used rub-ons from the kit on ribbon and it worked out beautifully.
Added stickles to the wings. Love the decoupage look with that cool glue.

Here is a sampling of some of my stock pile. I am doing pretty good with my couponing...

Example below...two suave washes and two vitamins that Austen uses...all for .47cents.

Here is the special globe that Presten surprised me with for my birthday.

I will treasure it for ever and ever....he was so sweet to think of me.

Usually they don't do much and this year they went all out.

He even engraved it...it has a spot for the picture and plays music too....so pretty!

We had a wonderful church service this morning. They did a wonderful graduation service...Pretty neat that they gave him a special bible and a cd set with all the popular christian music on it for graduates.

Two dad's day cards...

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far. My boys officially started Summer vacation today after school. I love this time with them...not jumping out of bed bright and early is also a plus for me.
I've decided to get an early start on Father's day cards. So here are two that I made..one for my dad and one for Rob from the boys. I used Graphic 45 papers and cardstock for the main parts. I cut out the car from the leftover paper. I think they turned out pretty "male". Which is always a plus in my house. haha...

GD for Decorate to Celebrate's first challenge

Decorate to Celebrate has kindly asked me to be one of the Guest Designers this month.

The party theme this month is "Father's Day".

So this is what I created...

A Father's day penny bank.

I've used a cleaned out Pasta jar...one of the rather large size ones. (Going Green)
Used my metal scissors to cut the top lid and pliars to make sure no sharp edges.
I painted it with my Acrylic paint-brown.

I've cut out a piece of material to kinda hid the Pasta brands name.
Then with my cricut I cut out all the images. The cartridge that I have used was Celebrate with Florish.
I wanted to make a tag for this gift....so I came up with the large fishing pole that I have stuck in the penny opening. Lots of ink and done...The tape I used is my Scotch ATG and also Gorilla Glue to attach the image to the jar. I used string to keep in place while drying.

I hope you enjoyed my little table gift...My dad loves to collect change so while we have our get together everyone can drop in some coins. He will have a huge smile with that!

Here is my sweet card that I whipped up from crafters companion Fairyopolis card kit. I used stickles and pearl dots for accent. I love this kit....so easy to decoupage the images....I also used the coll kit by Collall.

So neat that they add rub-ons for the backs of the cards too...

Just posting some of Presten's pictures from his High School graduation. He had a rather large class... Here is as a speaker for his Salutatorian speech...The girl next to him was the class president. Presten's speech was heartfelt and so moving. I could have not been more proud of him. He had three tassels on his hat to show all the accomplishments...His salutatorian medal and all his cords and sashes from college plus his sports pins....

They also surprised him with a plaque for being Salutatorian. That was really sweet!

So tonight he is best friends graduation party....Sent Austen as a chaperone. Laughing...

I am unwinding from yesterday graduation and family party...

Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will get some crafting in.

Happy memorial day to all those who have fought and died for our country and those still serving.

I miss seeing all your creations but once things settle in I will be back.

The other three boys have their last few days this week.

Then out for the summer.

First I have a Goodie bag fold card...hmmmm not sure what to call it. haha...My sweet friend Dora, sent me this wonderful Tilda image...It was a favorite of mine. So thank you!!!

I was able to color it awhile ago and today I wanted to put it to use so I created this creation.

Here is my sweetie, Colten. He came home sick today but I used him as a tester of what Presten will be wearing on graduation day. My goodness his neck is going to bother him so.

MIA and Estate finds

So sorry for the absence lately especially on my commenting to your blogs. I am getting ready for Presten's graduation....and so much more. We have found a new church that we have been attending for about a month now. After attending and loving my old church for over 20 years it is wonderful to find a place that just speaks to you and makes you feel right at home. My kids are so happy there too..They enjoy the youth,middle school and high school groups..it is great to have that feeling of just complete happiness that you can only get from hearing God's word.

Not all things in life are easy...just when it seems like smooth sailing then pop...a curve ball.
So me and Rob are having to learn to deal with these curve balls. At least we have each other and that is a big...well huge comfort!

I have just heard of another one of my friends from Middle school days that has just passed away...It breaks your heart to hear of these things and to know that many suffer from depression. Without God in their lives how are they to know the ever lasting life. So we need to share the gospel with each and every one...so they can make it to Heaven. I know I do not want to go anywhere else.
Well, I just wanted to share some words...as I do not have any crafts to share today.
We have an awards ceremony tonight for Presten's academics we will find out how much money he has made for University of Florida. Here's praying for a full ride. Smiles.... (A side note from tonight...he did not fair as well as we had hoped...Figuring he is second in the whole senior class you would think he would have done much better...Only $6,000 which doesn't even dent into what it costs for a year at his University.) I am definately disappointed but we will just pray that everything will work out.

Below, is a photo of some great antique jewelry I picked up at an Estate sale. I love finding such cool pieces. Why is the earrings from back then so beautiful...and beautifully made? hmmmm

A new technique I learned...and the kittens

I wanted to show you a new technique I learned....I used it to create this paper... First you need this type of product..(all purpose cleaner scent Lemon).Go to http://harmonyroadstudio.blogspot.com/2011/05/another-inkjet-transfer-tutorial.html#comment-form if you do not understand my directions.

Then pick out your image that you would like to print...must be inkjet printer. Which most home ones are... Note that I learned...that I had a duh moment with was...No letters or they will be backwards.

Spray the image face down on your decorative paper....hold in place firmly while you do this. It does not matter if it goes over. I had no problems of the decorative paper getting ruined.

Then use your finger, bone folder, and rub firmly as if you were doing a transfer. Peek underneath to make sure it is all coming through fine before you lift it off completely. It was rather easy....Just note "firmly hold paper down" and it will work like a charm. I made a few and then used my little hand dryer to speed the drying. Placed them in a book to make sure they stay flat.

Pretty easy....

Okay....here are the stay cat's kittens. I know who the mom is and the dad. These two look just like the dad. He has squiggles all over him and we named him that. They parents are not people friendly but we put out food for them to keep them around. Great to have on the property.

Above is mama....running after I was taking pictures. She is cool though...I wish she was friendly she always looks at me but won't let me near. Darn...I love cats though i am highly allergic to them. I take benedryl so I can pet cats, kittens...

This one is sooooooooo sweet in the face...she/he is always looking at me. Gosh...I wish I could hold her but learned that is not a good thing. The hard way I learned. :(

So here are my Graduation theme banners for my son's upcoming high school graduation. I am so proud of him for being Salutatorian of his class and also back in December he graduated College with his AA degree.Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week. I am feeling a little under the weather. Yesterday for Mom's day..I fell off my pavers and twisted both ankles...one swelled and the other did not but the other one hurts worse...go figure. For some reason my tummy is not feeling to good so going to just rest. Oh... our stray cat around our house had 3 kittens on our back porch...they are so cute. Her last two died this time we are staying away from them figuring that she will take good care of these ones. She is still feeding them....they look adorable. You don't know how bad I want to cuddle them....

Having lots of fun crafting today....Colten's baseball team won today....so it has been a super fabulous day!Here is my creations....Going pink with this one in honor of Breast Cancer.

The Pink Stamper has a National Scrapbooking day challenge for Breast cancer and I am a huge supporter. So I was happy to create something fun.
I used my cricut/gypsy for this creation. Lots of inking and some gel pen.

I wanted to make something for inside the box. This candle fits perfectly. It is a flameless candle I bought for $1 at the Dollar Tree. I tissue paper stamped the image...Tweety bird.

Added some glitter and some color. Done! Easy Peasy...really.

My very own Scrabble board for Mother's day...I used all words that pertain to my family and me.

I even used some Prima flowers and stickles to give them some glitz. Added lots of little goodies to make it pop. I am in all of the end project and will proudly hang it! My boys loved it too.

My Torso.....

My sweet blogging friend, Tee from The Altered Paper sent me this wonderful Paper Mache Torso. I have been pondering how I was going to doll her up.

This is what I came up with.
I used my old hymnol book to create the flowers and the dress top.

I added some ribbon and a bow which I inked as well as the the homemade flowers.

I added purple Wild orchid flowers along with my flower punch to fill in the spaces.

The other flowers were made using my cricut. Cut two different sizes of pattern to get volume.

I have debated on if I should add anything else to the top portion...and decided not to.

Couponing.....first week of it..

Here is my first coupon deal....How fun! CVS store

So what I have is 2 Dawn, 2 Right Guard deodorants (even with freebie body wash attached), 2 Colgate Max toothpaste.

I used my coupons from Sundays papers...I am not good yet as to which one I got them out of..give me time. I will get a system eventually.

I also used $8 in extra care bucks.....It only cost me out of pocket 82cents....I am flipping out with excitement. How cool was that???? I am going back tomorrow to pick up some more...Can't beat that deal...

I am trying to start a stock pile for us. Being a family of six is pretty costly on neccessities and this should help a bunch. Also, Presten going off to college he will need these items too.

It will be a win, win...

Boys and a sewing tag...plus my 18th

Here is a picture of my pride and joy my boys on Easter..I've been working on this tag for Mothers day. I used my stamps from my sweet friend Kristal.

They are Loralie stamps...sewing ones. Also, I used my Stampin up scissor stamp.

My papers are from my Mind Eye. I used one of my homemade hat pins.
I put embroidery thread on the spools. Lots of 3d foam risers.

Some simple coloring with my gel pens and markers. Did a little layering with the sewing machine. The thread spool and handle are both 3d on the sewing machine.

Let me know what you think. I was pretty pleased with the end result.

Here is my newest creation....I purchased these cute totes at hobby lobby and wanted to make them like my purse I won awhile back. Of course I had to switch it up to my own design. I think they are so cute...They will fry at the end...trust me I know though it looks great when it does. Here are my hand made flowers that I added to them each. My mom and mother in law should enjoy them. Atleast I hope so! haha....
I have been quite busy lately so if I have not gone to your blog please do not take it personally. I will try and get by atleast once a week if not more. This month of May is going to be extremly busy for me. My brother and dad's birthday...My Anniversary is May 1st 18 years...wowzers...to the love of my life. Then we have Presten's prom, grad night, graduation from High School. So alot is happening along with all the baseball games. Let us not forget my huge bedroom/bathroom project. Over the summer I have to go through all Presten's stuff and switch up things as he is leaving for college but he will still have a place when he comes home on the weekends.
Okay...I am off....I am trying to learn how to coupon too. Laundry is stacking up...atleast they are clean. haha...just need to be put away.

My dad's birthday is coming up so I made his cup personalized.
Going green...I used my cricut and contact paper and permanent marker.
Simple but cute! (hey what do expect it is for a man) haha

An Owl card....

My Owl card....Ribbon, ink,pearls,stamps,cardstock, layers, MS punch and EK punch.

I created a "stamped" card...from some lovely stamps that I received from Karen over at Feline Creative. These were soooooooooo much fun to work with as each stamp in the set is fabulous.

I used some punches on this....feels pretty Florida like.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We sure did....I took pictures and now I will have to order them so I can use them in layouts.

We are tearing out our master bathroom...It is awful really....I already have a pretty good cut on my shin. So I will be trying to craft in the middle of games...graduation stuff...prom...bathroom and house cleaning...oh the taxi part....cooking...okay life is busy.

We will be at church in the morning...the reason for the celebration.

Oh and I have a marvelous Mustang here...My little guy Colten received student of the month. Woot! Woot! He was awarded this also last year. He is such a blessing and such a sweet...adorable little pumpkin. He is my baby even at 8 years old.

My good friend Lisa's daughter Beth made this adorable image (which I will call Flower Power Boogie Bus~ for now until she names it) Which is kinda fun because she is doing a giveaway for anyone that has the perfect name for her digi. The post with the rules for naming,buying or finding out about her images is over at Mess2Magic blog. It would be cute to have the license plate with (FLWRPWR)on it...I made this box...though I had no transparency paper I used shiney gold vellum. Made a slider tag with the use of My nesties and colored in the image with my markers and pencils. Stickles made the eye whites shine. Such a cute image....

Jaxten and his new shirt......

Here is Jaxten.......He was swimming today very brave in the cold water (which he thought was perfect)and having a great time...then I hit him up to try on his shirt I made using my cricut. His school is the cougars so I found this paw print and layered it.

I still have to sew around it....The name was harder to cut with the cricut...used scissors to assist in the cut. It was a different to make but turned out pretty cute. His school color is the maroon. So now he has a spirit day shirt! Let me know what you think... I used heat bond for the (iron on part). Tonight is our county scholarship night...Presten is getting awarded one. Colten has his game with daddy too. Then the boys are off tomorrow....coloring eggs day and baking. Saturday is my neices baby shower and then I have to get all the stuff for Easter dinner. Then of course is the Special day.....Easter.

I will be back with some more creations before then. Have a super day!!! I'm going blueberry picking this morning with my mother-in-law. Yummy and fun!

Its another Easter candy box

My candy box....Trying something new again. This was a fun box to create using my cricut...tags bags and boxes cartridge. I recycled some plastic again....so you could see the contents. I filled it with chocolate bunnies and Dove candies. This one is for my hubby...i think he will love it and say yum. I used my stamps to make the sentiment...it turned out so cute. Also used my nesties and dots folder for the cuttlebug for embossing. I hope you like...it is a slider to hold the box together. smiles...Tammy Have a super day!

Here is an Easter creation that I made with my Tag's bags and boxes cartridge.

I recycled some plastic for the windows...i have never used the window element before.

I also used a brad to put the flower together...Stamped Happy Easter on a tag that I used a Fiskar punch to cut. Then filled them with Dove candies...They turned out pretty cute.

Entering this over at Crafting Misfit...blog hop challenge. These four are for my boys...i used my pinking shears to make the tags fancier.

Presten's prom is coming up at the end of this month...so I made his girlfriend her corsage

and his boutonniere to match her dress....

It turned out so lovely...I even was able to use some of my wild orchid flowers and a feather ribbon. I have to say...I am definately pleased with the end results.

It is nice that the girl has a keepsake as well as the boy.The purple is so pretty. I will post pictures after the prom to show you them all dolled up. Look at my lovely matchbox that I received from "Things with wings" swap. Thank you Lesley...It is beautiful from the inside goodies to the outside of the box. So glad to have participated in such a great swap.

I will be having a huge house cleaning project so I will be posting in advance some creations I have whipped up for Easter. So if you need me please just pop an email to me found on my sidebar.

My sweet friend Rhonda from scraphappens with Rhonda blog... sent me instructions on how to make a stationary box.I've used my sweet Tilda with heart Magnolia stamp....also some other stamps in my collection. I used brads on paperclips to hold it together before you unfolded it. I was really pleased at how it turned out....It will be a gift. I received some wonderful blog candy from my friend Karen over at Feline creative...including a wonderful Magnolia Ink magazine...My first one ever...inside it gave directions to make this wonderful box...such a great box it is indeed. I've used lots of stuff to doll it up...as you can see. My image is Elizabeth Bell ~Belle's & Whistles" stamp.

Flowers are from Wild Orchids....I love how it turned out....for it was my first attempt of the box. I used cardstock as the base and then covered it with my papers and ink. Let me know what you think.Busy today...but wanted to make a creation in between cleaning.Have a terrific Monday!!We are having FCAT testing this week for two of my boys.Next week my youngest has his SAT testing.Baseball is back in session too. Here is a wonderful find that I popped across this morning. Me and my hubby we running a few errands and did breakfast...afterwards we popped by a couple yard sales in the next county over...and I found this huge 1980 Sears catalog. It is in mint condition...The gentleman was asking $5 and I asked if he would go $3 and he said yes....Woot...hoo! Now this ia an awesome find...it works perfectly!!!!! Looks awesome too!!! I had one of these when I was young....so it brings back such great memories. Another find...these last two are from Goodwill....Can you believe they were only $10 a piece. Perfect working toys...I am sooooooooo excited that I found such pristine antique toys. This Fisher Price toy actually ticks as it moves....tickled pink!!! No creations today....My oldest has been out with his girlfiend all day...and my hubby took the other boys to hunting camp. So nice and quiet night at home. Crafters companion envelope box entry....

Here is another creation for Crafters companion challenge this month...Which is to use flowers and any crafter's companion products....in my case...I used my Crafters companion Ultimate...which I love...love love....I made the 4 inch envelope box. It is so easy peasy with that wonderful tool. My first picture is unfortunately blurry...May try and get another picture tomorrow outside. I also used crafters companions...cute companions "playtime summer stories". I am in need of new stamps from them...as I do love them all. I cut out balloon seperately on pattern papers...then the ducks seperately with different color box ink.

The sun made a ring around the image....camera day was bad today... I made a seal...

You can see how it is a envelope box....instead of just an envelope.

Here is my latest birthday card I made yesterday. I am so behind on making cards.

My stash has widdled down to nothing. So trying to get them made for this month's birthdays and next months. I finished the inside too. I am using an old hymnol book. Cuts from my cricut to make the frame part...lots of ink and layers... added a bow and sentiment. Really pleased with the end result. Austen is at Fort Desoto Beach on a class field trip for the good and smart kids. Hope he wears his sunblock as he is fair fair fair skinned. Jaxten is doing great...all but my little mistake on his hair cut. I've been cutting their hair since they were born...and well every clip was dropping and the brother was distracting...so needless to say when I grabbed the clipper I thought it had on its attachment and it did not...so he got a little quarter size bald spot. I know....awful I felt...I paid him money....can you just see the shame. It does not show so bad because I left the top layers longer until it grows in. Bad mommy....bad mommy... My Magnolia-licious creation....come see...

Here is my creation for #3-- Any Magnolia Easter/Spring Project, anything BUT a card Magnolia-licious challenge.

I used shrinky dink material...stamped the image on with Stazon ink and colored with my copics. I made a frame from cardstock (yellow and white sheets) and covered it with Glossy Accents. Back and front to protect it from weather. Added beads and prima flowers. I am totally happy with the results...and it sure does look good on! I used Tilda with a heart found here in mini form which mine is not. I sure hope you like my spring creation.

Quick post...as I really have to walk out the door.

Here is one of my newest stamps from Magnolia...Edwin with present.

I found this unique fold card on the internet. Made a copy of template and went to town.

My main sheet was green cardstock..

Covered with one of my new papers and cardboard looking cardstock.

I loved the blue but wanted to add something to the cardboard cardstock...so I took out my..Yepper this new crayon type colorer. I was given it from a craft show I was envolved with. It did add just the right touch as it is metalic. So that is my card... Hope you like it and I am currently working on a creation for a Magnolia contest. So it will be coming soon.... Here is my cone that I made for Crafters Companion USA first challenge...

Use anything from Crafters companion...which I used my Flower Fairies stamps.My paper is My Mind Eye "So Sophie"

I used the chalk mainly for the soft look....Also some water color pencils, copics and gel pens. I used two types of stickles. Lace for inside the cone...and fanned cardstock in two stripes. My flowers are from Wild Orchid.

My morning wake up...tea party...card for other neice...

Okay...first up is the card that I made for my other (twin) neice....I love belle's and Whistles stamps...I was able to use one of my handmade flowers on it too....

What I woke up to after being up all night with a bonfire....thump thump thump was the noise from the bass...so finally shut down the party at 1:30pm....Five boys stayed over and slept in their trucks (their choice) and my son didn't even bring them out blankets....hmmmmm can you say boys...then this morning at 8am...On a Sunday mine you...I hear the trucks start up and they decide to go play in the mud...This is our lake and they went to the other side of it and it was chilly and misty out...Yepper they woke up everyone....Rob's mom was not to happy...she lives on the property too. Not sure what my boy was thinking....doing that on a Sunday morning.

Now I am off to my tea party...this is a picture my son took of me before I left. Notice I wore the necklace I made...

Here is my moms outside screened room...she made it looks so danty and pretty...it was a wonderful time. I would post pictures of everyone but I can't as I do not have permission too. But they all looked lovely...Definately a good time.

Before all the food was brought out to the stations...which were around the room...

Now...I am exhausted and hope to get some sleep...The boys went to their Uncles with Daddy for dinner as I am plum worn out.

Cream of Wheat dinner for me....

Owl be happy with my boys too!

My first sewing project in a long time....My own pattern.....Okay made it up as I went along.

I do she is cute...though.

The only thing I would do differently would be to put rice inside of the owl not just the legs....I used it in the legs to have them hang but did not think after the poly fill to use it in the owl to have it flop right down. Oh well live and learn...for the next one.I used an old sheet,remnant and felt to make the owl. Let me know your thoughts.... After the baseball game today the boys played on our property...look at them go. Here is my cutie after our game today...beautiful skies and beautiful blue cutie!

He was catcher again...still learning. He likes it!

Well the teenage bonfire has started...last one for a long time. I am not used to this...

You want *good* innocent parties but with 17 and 18 year olds hmmmmmmmm...

Doing bulk on vintage type Easter cards...

Okay, first up....please enter in my 250 followers giveaway...so close...I thank you all for coming by and hopefully finding some inspiration. I love making crafts of all kinds. I also wanted to let you know that I am going to go into some sewing projects...haven't done that in awhile so my posts make be a bit more scarce as sewing takes time. The month of March was so busy with crafting a project a day...so now I am going to do some Easter presents...that is my hope anyways. Which brings me to my cards...I made bulk of vintage image Easter cards...I usually have Christian ones because that is the day Jesus rose from the tomb...which is the "hugest,biggest, only reason" for celebrating Easter. Now...don't get me wrong the Easter bunny comes to our house every year and the kids love it. They also know it was the reserection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ... I had a wonderful time creating all of these cards....I hope you like them too. Lots of different touches went into them.

Now I only have to fill them in with a Sentiment and signatures.... One of the best places for images is the Graphic Fairy blogspot. Though I get mine all over the net and have bought quite a few college sheets in my time.

I am off to a baseball game....hopefully Colten gets to be catcher again...he did so good at his first time trying that position. Then we have a bonfire tonight at the house with teenagers...yikes...

Tomorrow I am off to my moms Tea party....this afternoon I am in search of a hat...wasn't going to wear one and just wear my hair up in curls but I think I might want to try one on.

My first Matchbox for a swap...

We are having terrible weather today....in a Tornado warning....just got back from picking up all my boys early from school....watching the weather channel. Sorry...my pictures are not so great of my box...but hopefully you get the idea. The theme was *winged* my first thought was an angel but then I wanted to use my new prima butterfly. So I went ahead and used it with highlighting cream and peach...going toward a victorian feel to it.

I filled it with trinkets from antique ribbon and actually antique embroidery thread...some bling and extra goodies...

I sure hope my swap partner likes the box...as this is very new to me. I have only recently made the blue one for my mom. This has been sent a few days ago so hopefully she will have it soon.

Here is my boy.....looking so cute! Gotta love his quote...from dad. Last sentence was for me...so sweet.

Here is a card that I made for one of my neices...I need two as they both are twins.

I love this sweet pea stamp....I will be making another card...of course different type.

Last nights game was so much fun with my youngest, Colten.

He was catcher for the first time and did excellent...caught so many of them.

I was totally impressed....Okay...proud mom!

Austen has a tail bone issue so he is off of sports for a couple of weeks.

Jaxten...is just doing the school thing for now.

Presten is officially finished with sports in high school.

Now for the prom coming up and all the senior stuff. Grad night at Disney...senior breakfast.

I have been getting ready for my oldest graduation that is coming up fast...

Hard to believe how fast time flies...I just gave birth to him it seems...Atleast I am trying to stay young with that thought. haha...

I put honor's cord around his neck made out of antique embroidery thread... braided of course. Distressed the edges and stamped the sentiment on the inside.

I am pretty happy with the card. First time using my new Everday Paper dolls cartridge.

I used 3d foam on him. Gel pens, cuttlebug dots folder and chalk ink.

My vintage victorian necklace....

Here is my newest creation....I made all the flowers out of ribbon....added antique ribbon, pearls, and earrings....It was so much fun to making it. It is time consuming as it took me a few days to make. Lots of hand sewing too.... Such pretty colors together....I love that antique ribbon from Goodwill.

Also...My mom gave me some of her antique jewelry that didn't have pairs.

So I was able to add some pieces to this necklace.

Going to wear it to my Mom's tea party this weekend. It has been a rainy day here...Still pretty sick. Bad cold is not going away and still not hearing... Boys are doing great and we have been quite busy as usual. Thank goodness practice is canceled...probably the game tomorrow as well. The fields will be to wet. Have a wonderful rest of the week. What you do is tie money to each of the sticks....I wanted to showcase each of his sports that he played...with a senior and way to go staying.

Each was attached to yellow straws....cut all the images with my cricut.

Painted the pot black and added a cobra's die cut that I purchased at a craft show. I used his school colors red and gold(yellow).

Had some fun ribbons that I purchased at Hobby lobby...and tied those to each of the sticks as well.

Hope you like my project as I am just so happy with the end result. It is a great size too!

Sorry... not posting everyday...as it did get harder toward the end of the month with doing some larger time consuming projects and doing family things as well.

Hymns flowers...come see

I was whipping up some flowers out of a great find....and old hymns book that I was fortunate to find at a local thrift store... You never know what you can find if you go browsing.

I inked the edges in different colors...so I can use them on future projects.

Finally~~ I broke down and purchased the everyday paper dolls cartridge for cricut...it's an oldie but a goodie. I sure wish times were better so I could get some new cartridges...though I am just blessed at what I do own... So look for some future projects with that one.

Also...so close to the giveaway...ready to ship it out as soon as I reach 250...hopefully sooner then later. haha... Thanks everyone for showing it on your blogs.

Tea party favor purses

Just helping my mom with some favors for her Tea party....she is doing the decorations and filling them....I kept them simple for her touch. I used my cricut machine for the teapot...A childs year...and Purse from Forever young cartridge. I also used my button punch from MS.

Some inking on the teapot and "Yum" sentiment...Used my punch for the tag.I have made 15 of them....and giving her my teacups and saucers to use.
It is going to be a fun time...

Baby shower card....and note

My niece's baby shower is coming up next month....Hard to believe.

I so need a baby fix...

So here is my sweet fairy card...she is doing fairies with purple and yellow for the babies room.

So I went through my stamps and found this one...bad thing is I have a brain freeze as to where I got it. My bad... :( Entered into challenge with my fairy...over at http://flutterbywednesdays.blogspot.com/

Today was a nice day....all but this cold which I guess I am sounding way worse but me not hearing so well I had no idea. haha... I still went out with my mom. Found some sweet tops at Ross....and a few good finds at the thrift stores.
I have been working on making some simple goodie purses for my mom's tea party as favors.
Now....for my excitement to my day...
My oldest who is only 17 got his first speeding ticket...you don't want one of them in Florida because we are high priced tickets....so $254 for going 64 in a 45MPH zone...
I guess he needed to learn a lesson....God knows and took care of that...seeing me and his dad have been telling him to not be such a lead foot.
Live and Learn....

SO CLOSE WITH MY 250 FOLLOWERS GIVEAWAY....THANK YOU EVERYONE...RIGHT SIDEBAR TAKES YOU TO THE POST...PASS IT ON IF YOU WOULD LIKE.... The Altered Paper...is having a vintage egg challenge. So here is my take...
I started with a green plastic egg....and then grabbed some samples that I had of lace...started cutting that in squares...hmmmmm...I wondered how do I attach this...then I grabbed the modge podge...Yeppers it was a sticky mess... Dryed it of course...then inked it with Tim Holtz tea ink pad. Okay...it is looking alright. I have these wonderful hat pins from my mom that are antique...stuck it right in the egg with some lace that I inked as well and some pretty gold ribbon. I grabbed a flower crochet that my sister in law Kathy had made a while back...added some stickles and an antique button. I think it turned out okay...

Then last night I was in bed not feeling well...yepper the cold is getting worse instead of better. bummer... I used my antique clothespins and wrapped my thrifty ribbon around them and stuck in my pins I decorated. Looks pretty in the bowl with my egg and added a doily. Let me know what you think.

Going to get some rest now....Sorry if I haven't blogged as much lately...this cold is taking alot out of me....though I keep going like the energizer bunny rabbit.
