New cartridge birthday card

I kinda spoiled myself last week on a pre black friday Cricut cartridge sale. So here is a card made with the Nifty Fifties cartridge. I just love the images....So made this for my mom's upcoming birthday. The card base was My Minds Eye. Entered into challenge over at Wee memories A little pink. Well I went in for my mammogram yesterday. They said I should be hearing from the health dept. and will most likely need an Ultrasound. They did the pictures and then they wanted more views of my larger cyst the one I did not know I had. So I was pretty down yesterday....and today I am doing better. I am keeping the faith and praying....
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving....so many things to be thankful for.

Ohhhhhh mom...tag

Alot of things have been happening in my neck of the woods. Unfortunately, some are not so good. I have had some pain in my left breast and went in for a check up. I first had a mammogram set up and it was for preventive...well they turned me away because I had pain.
So, without insurance I am now going through the Health Dept. Golly...you don't know what you have when it is gone- like health insurance. Well, the doctor did a routine check and unfortunately I have a couple of rather large size cysts. I am waiting on a voucher from the Susan B. Komen foundation to have the mammogram. ( QUICK add on note...after I wrote this they called and I am going in Monday for the Mammogram)Then we go from there. I am am not thinking the worst at all....Still the uncertainty bothers me somewhat. So I just keep the faith and pray. Can't wait to figure out what they can do so I won't hurt so bad.
Atleast, all my men in my life are doing great. Getting started on trying to figure out Christmas presents before black friday.
Oh golly, time to run. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Above is a cricut cut hanging tag/wall hanging for a special Mom.

Longest Christmas card.....Magnolia plus Nitwit

Entered this into a party over at DIY....come see all the wonderful ideas.

I had a hard time trying to get a good picture out of my yucky camera for this card. Here is a long Christmas card that I made...i mean it goes on and on...Long. I made each of the buildings in 3d layers...lots of printing and cutting for this one. I used mega 3d foams and lots of stickles glitter glue. I then colored in lots of Magnolia images for Christmas and added them to the design as it gave it alot of life. Figuring out how to attach these buildings was trickie...I decided to use a white cardstock border and then attach white flaps on each of the buildings backs. This way it could stand up all the way down. I am just over the moon thrilled at the outcome. Keeping this on for my self. I even made the snowflakes on the top of the building stand up. Too cute!!! Let me know what you think.

I am entering this mega project into challenges:

Wild Orchid- Mainly blue Magnolia Down Under- Shabby Chic...(looks kinda shabby-chic)

Sparkly- Magnolia stamp lovers also over at Paper Cupcakes.

I have been hard at work with Graduation stuff

Here is a layout that I made today with Presten's senior picture. Now all I need is a frame....I guess that means another Hobby Lobby run. Geez....I think I am loving that store! Making my new list already. Haha...
I used my cricut for the cap and words. (locker talk and A Country Life)
I also have been quite busy with making his graduation announcements. Oh my goodness they sure do take alot of time to make. I have 10 made and need about 20 + more. The only thing I have to wait on is the inside Vellum part that I am making. Will not be able to do that part until the end of February.
Have a wonderful day....will post some homecoming dance pictures soon of my two oldest.

Cute little Turkey cards

Here are a couple of my Thanksgiving Turkey cards. I actually welded the background image to make it a card. Geez....these cricut cuts are just too cute! I used Create a Critter cartridge for these. I added some glitter and a sentiment stamp. I now have to put up my Thanksgiving message for inside the card.

Many things to be thankful for....such as God's blessings in our lives...Through thick and thin he is always there for us.

A yummy container

I wanted to make a fun and yummy container for Chocolate powered Chex yummies I like to make at Christmas time. These are perfect gift ideas for friends and family. I used recycled (GO GREEN) flavored water containers...Example, Crystal Light, Walmart brand or Wylers. Clean them from outside and inside. Easy....1.2.3.
Then I used my cricut to cut out the tag form. Used my Design paper to cut the next layer and then used my computer to generate my saying..(Printmaster has all my fonts). Printed that on Vellum. I sewing machine stitched the three layers together. Using my icicle punch on top.
Next, I used my hot chocolate MS punch and added white puff paint to make it look like whip cream on top. Neat effect...
Then for the flower on top (black and white with red button) I used my punch for the follow cutting out black ones and white ones and interlocked them. Also, my MS punch for the button and embroidery thread to make the button look sewn on.
Red Ribbon to attach the tag with a glue dot to keep it in place. I then used DP to cover the container and used a fancy edge scissors where the paper came together.
There you have it.
I will fill these with with Chex mix or Powered Chocolate Chex that I like to make around Christmas time.

Let me know what you think of my idea. I am really happy with the way they turned out. You never know what you can think of. Me- I love trying to recycle and go green with projects.
Have a great week.
Be blessed!!
